Police seek man in connection with reported sexual assault

The Olathe Police Department is looking for a man in connection with a reported sexual assault of a 55-year-old woman Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a call about 9:30 a.m. in the 23000 block of West 126th Terrace. The woman said she had been sexually assaulted by a man she knew, who fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

John N. Gichamu, 25, has been identified as a person of interest. Anyone with information about Gichamu's whereabouts should contact the Olathe Police Department at 971-7455 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
